| As the title says, anything that springs to mind, racing, pits, travel, bar, town. I have many, did almost every meet from birth, raced my first race in hotstox on the station road shale in 1990. Great to take a win there in f1 in 96. Fantastic fire work displays.etc etc. This post subject could be used on many other tracks also. _________________ 391

| As a spectator with my dad upto late 80`s.... Bezz` mechanic late 80`s early 90`s.... Dave Atkinson mechanic from early 90`s in hotstox.... Then racing my hotstox there in 93 and a bit in 92 in borrowed cars. Many a late night in the bar with bezz` lot and acky` lot, even did 2 laps in my works van on a saturday night after a hotstox meeting lol, fondest memory of racing there was virtually flat out racing, only lifting for the bend then back on the gas again. |

| Loved LE. First went in 1985 and I think Old Man Smithy did a maximum. Seen allsorts at Station Road. Dave Edwards commentaries were legendary, Oxygene playing as the rolling lap for the final got underway. Barber watering the track as it rained!! Harrison's British drive, 515 v 53 (and 264), Potter v Falding, Haigh v Pearce, the all night bar, chippy just down from the track. Loads of great memories. Great track Long Eaton was. _________________ LUNDY FOR GOLD 2010

| My local track from 1980 till it closed (never had a local track before that, coming from the frozen wilds of East Yorkshire0. So many memories, including an F2 going all the way through the fence one Friday night, taking the roof off. The driver ( I forget who) just got out, apparently unharmed. And then there were the nights chatting to Bill Maynard. But not to forget Dave Edwards, Oxygene, The Dakota's, Keith Barber, the LE pick up Marina, and all the F1 and F2 drivers who contributed so many happy memories. RIP LE |

| Some great memories, as mentioned above plus.... When Smithy scored the 69 point maximum, and was being interviewed by Barber.....Smithy said "That's the first 69 of the night".....to which Keith replied rather hesitantly......"I assume Stuart is off to the Chinese on the way home to celebrate"..... Also Mick Noden......virtually unbeatable in the wet..... and the night 495 John Cayzer spat his dummy ...... (I think when he was told he hadn't qualified for the Final)......and drive straight head on into the fence post on turn 1, and we had to wait for half an hour whilst they replaced it.....!!! Good Ol' L.E. |
