I'm sat here watching the speedway British GP, as i'm working all weekend! . Looking at the track it looks very good and i can't help thinking as a guest track for our beloved F1's it could work. The facilities should be good, although you'll probably pay for them via the ticket prices and food oulets? As a one off would you grumble! I wouldn't. The track looks big enough and well graded. Is the pit space big enough, can't say as i have never been. Travelling to the track, similier to Bristol!! Its in that corner of the country anyway! Would we get the crowd, i would like to think so. It's over to you guys/dolls for your views. Cheers in advance, Pc

I think it would be awesome! Ideally, the F1's would run on the Sunday after the GP whilst the track was still down which would cause minimum disruption and enable BriSCA to share the cost with the Speedway bods. We might even be able to persuade Sky to leave the camera's there to show the meeting live! And then I woke up and remembered that the sport simply isn't geared up to pull off such a thing.

It would be awesome and i would love it to happen but i remember that Steve rees has looked at this and did say the costs of running the event would be in the hundreds of thousands of pounds.

if you look at topic For nastyplumber i was fortunate enough to race a robin reliant in front of 30000 at millenium stadium earlier this month as support to monster jam the atmosphere was awesome and these guys had never seen our formula before so i would imagine with die hard F1 stock car fans it would be even better.HOWEVER pit space is poor we had to drop our cars off and park transporters in the cardiff arms park nextdoor. You would probably get 45 F1 in pits howver moving a damaged F1 would be a nightmare bad enough with a robin which is only the weight of an F1 wheel and tyre together with not having spares etc easily to hand its as much a logistics problem as well as a finacial one.Sorry
