A good night for Team 415 after Russ's very hard work and money to get the diff sorted to get the car ready for Kings Lynn last night.

Miner was back with us for this one and surprisingly still a good night for us. lol!

Whites & yellows Russ got a good start but got spun on the home straight on lap two and recovered for a 10th place finish.

Heat two Russ got an 8th place and qualified for the final. affraid

The Final was a very fast race and Russ kept his head to avaid other battles infront of him to finish a creditable 9th.

The Grand National was another fast and furious race Russ again was going well but a puncture on the inside front meant the end of the race for him.

The banter and laughs was flowing all evening and I even ended up watering for 142 with bIg N in the consi. Might have to put a '4' and a '2' under the '1' of 415 on my overalls as it looks like will be helping Rob at Belle Vue. Very Happy

The 415 posse ended the night with a beer in the bar as usual as Kings Lynn aint to far away for Russ. Russell introduced me to former F1 racer Neil Pokorny ex74. Seen him about 'the man in the hat' but didn't know it was Neil untill now. Russ did quite well prise money wise and won a Merit Award Trophy. Not enough to pay for the Diff and a spare gearbox he bought last night but as they say at *esco.. "Every little helps!"

Well a nothing night for team 415.

Heat 3 Russ got a great lead from pole but the yellows came out and was 'swallowed up' by the faster drivers so no place.

The Consolation Russ was in a battle with Rob Harrad 258 but Russ got spun into the loose shale on the outside and retired with broken half shaft, flat tyre and bent rear link bar.

The Grand National. Russ was again battling with Rob but he was hit from behind into Rob and got spun and ended up deciding to cal it a day.

To top a bad night the zip has bust on my 415 overalls. Sad Crying or Very sad

If anyone can help Russ it might be an idea to get in touch with either myself or Steve (WVM) through either this site, stoxnet or facebook - Russ currently has very limited internet access.

Cheers guys and girls Very Happy

Us after Russ's heat win at Scunthorpe (Or Skunthorpe if you are Russ spelling it!). To say he was pleased is an understatement it's just what he needed after all the bad luck he's had this season. Not bad for a debut at a track he's never raced at. I myself got to do 1 3/4 laps of Scunny, I had to take Russ round on his victory lap and then after Russ got off another 3/4 lap to the pits of witch I could put it in top gear and put the loud pedal down a bit. lol!

Congratulations on well overdue bit of fame.
Got a tin of red paint, was going to give it to 515, but holding it for 415 now.

Well a great night for us....
The car was good and Russ was doing great things from the cab.

Whites & yellows 4th. Could have been higher but spun on lap 4, just down to driver error but fortunately only lost one place.

Heat 2 10th (thought it was 9th as we counted the cars past the flag).

Heat 3 an excelent 5th

Final 10th. Only 10 finishers but still good as the only white top to finish.

G.N. nil.

The metalwork got broken that sits on the back bumper to protect the back pannel but a bit of weld fixed it good enough to carry on.

The GN the link bar bolt snapped so Russ had to pull off and get lifted back to the pits. Russ managed to tie it up so it didn't drag and get broken.

The 'smoke screen' is a little oil weeping from the inlet manifold gasket thus putting a little on the exhaust headers and burning off.

All in all a good night, a few quid for Russ and the grade award trophy. Went for a beer after a few of the regular after meeting drinkers were there. Neil Pokorny ex74, Rolphy top mate of the 415 team Kev515.

Next and last meeting of the season for the 415 team will be Coventry this Saturday untill the Xmas Kings Lynn. affraid

Maybe that might help with the gasket replacing? Taken from my book...
