Zep, you are as articulte and to point as always.;

however, to be honest, I was only trying to be constructive as to pre-meeting sources of income that are available to well appointed stadia such as Coventry, that they do not seem to have persued, well, as I know anyway. I may be wrong?

If I could have been there tonight, I certainly would have, but work can stop the best of us from attending what we wish to.......

Too true - very good meeting bearing in mind the horrendous conditions. Amazing performance from the drivers under the circumstances. Roll on another fine season for Coventry in 2009!

Ungrateful ? I am not ungrateful, my admiration goes out to all the drivers, as they week in week out travel miles, work on thier cars, and at no small cost they entertain us, I to went tonight and paid the £17.00 entrance charge, this was not a problem, the point I am trying to make, and Refrained from saying it in my previous post, unless you have 2 wheels, or 4 legs, Coventry aint bothered !!! end off !!

I've been going to Coventry for nearly 35 years, and in the eighties and nineties went to every meeting, regardless of the weather. And that included long journeys fromy native East Yorkshire, and then from Dorset. But of late I have lost the urge to go. I even emailed Coventry with my concerns about price and value for money, especially when the F2's were dropped. I had never complained to any promotor before, and my criticism was constructive, but the emails went unanswered.

Perhaps you should e-mail me direct as I have never received any of your e-mails and I always respond. The dropping of F2 was not our decsion and you will be pleased that we have secured 8 meetings for next year.

You surely cant tell me Cov stadium with all that money and clout cant secure 8 f2 meetings what a load of tosh.

I think you will find the sunroof comment was a joke to lighten the mood but it certainly worked. I have no idea who is the new commentator there but he is very good indeed.
Shame the same kind of jokey manner was given to the F1 stranded on the back straight lap after lap with Yellows raised and finally the drivers mech or father had to go up to the fence to check for himself before going mad and chucking a fire extingusiher onto the track as the car was alight. Yet again attrocius marshalling at COventry

have to agree. i am getting a bit tired of reading on this and the other forum of people just slagging our sport . even for the littlest of things.

i was flag marshalling last night and it was awful (completely covered in mud by end of final) so i can only imagine how bad it was for drivers.
