| Ooops.... #445 Nigel Green At the World Final weekend at Buxton on September 12th and 13th, a number of tyres were taken from F2 Stock Cars by the assistant Technical Officer and sent away for analysis, to ensure that they were within the 2009 Stock Car Racing Rules and Regulations. The results were returned on Monday September 28th, and all tyres except one were found to be legal. The tyre that failed had been used by Nigel Green(445) on Saturday 12th September. Nigel Green (445) has therefore been suspended, and will be banned from racing for 12 months, according to the 2009 Stock Car Rules and Regulations. He has the Right of Appeal, should he wish to do so. |

| I saw his tyres being tested straight after the Final on the Saturday night and something in my head immediatly thought oh oh. I dont want to comment about his legality but makes you wonder how he was going .3 faster than most other F2's at Buxton. The only other driver to come close to his time was Moodie last time out there. Nigel's also been flying around Birmingham Northampton etc. I did notice he looked to have a lot less grip on the Sunday and slower times...did he try it on on the Saturday or was ambient temperature etc cooler on Sunday..maybe?? who knows. Well done if he's been caught & found out OR I hope he clears his name if he was legal after all. |

| Mixed emotions about this one. I.ve always enjoyed watching him race, his car always more often than not, went well. Now we possibly know why. If he appeals would it be waste of time? Pc |

| Did they take tyre samples because he was a lot quicker or was it a test they were doing as part of scrutinering ?? |

| Gutted when I heard this morning. Nigel has spiced up the F2 scene with some fantastic drives and battles on track. He looked ultra quick at Buxton and Birmingham recently, and would never have seen this breaking news coming from the 445 team. To have a one year ban slapped on for this incident, it's got to be serious enough. Gutted, as he was one of a select few I felt, had the makings of a champion for 2010, and now this......... |

What's that got to do with anything..? I'm sure because he was making the rest look silly though it may have influenced the decision in them independently testing nigel's tyres but the scrutineering that took place at Buxton was very strict throughout. The way F2's have been the passed 2 or 3 years I'm sure they didnt want to miss a trick that weekend. |

| How appropriate that the picture on the brisca site is nigel green with the birmingham final trophy. |

What I meant was, was it just 445's tyres that were tested or was a lot of other drivers tyres tested at random as well ?? It just proves it still goes on. |

| If you read the statement from brisca then it says that a number of tyres from a number of drivers were taken for analysis and only one tyre was found to be not within the specified rules. So it looks like a selection were taken and with nigel green wining the final that night he would be ONE of the drivers to have a tyre tested. |
