I would echo all previous comments Eddie....excellent stuff with the lego building.....

I too used to build Lego Stock Cars in my childhood and "raced" them too Very Happy

The like Neil I then progressed onto Meccano, and one year built a Super DoDo model and exhibited it at The Town & Country Exhibition, complete with flashing lights, removable bonnet and engine detail inside........Maybe have some photo's somewhere ?

My 18th Birthday cake.....in fact I had two of them were models of SuperStu's car too......and my 21st was a track with cars on it.......

Once it's in your blood it never goes away........and I bet Neil and I are not alone here.... Laughing

Keep it up Eddie.....more photo's of more models......but don't be too hard on the Smith's ...... lol!

I too have made Stock Cars outta Lego.. nothing like Eddie's tho!
Have also made tracks outta bits of Scalextric tracks. and put about 30 of my old Matchbox cars on track at once, and used to race them! Kinda got bored of this when I realised I needed 30 hands to make the race fair!
Talking of Scalextric.. anyone else remember 'Stick Shifter' and 'Fender Bender' ??

Of course I remember them, I had hours of fun with them!!.
Unfortunately Scalextic is a bit too fast to be realistic and not enough sideways action either. In an attempt to make a shale type raceway I oiled the corners, but this was just too slippery so settled for talc!!
With the cars being able to spin a full 360 degrees you had to develop a fair amount of skill with the throttle to keep her going in the right direction for 25 laps while hanging the back end out!!
What fun!!
