I remember a banger meet, where keith was watering the track,at speed, when the water tank decided to part with the chassis, nearly rolled the lorry, the tank emptied its water on turn 4,well ive never heard such a cheer and laughter,to which keith replied its all very amusing, but if it gets dusty the meeting will end early. lol! lol!

Wildcat, I remember the Wainman Smith episode.

WVM. I had a lot further to go. My girlfriend at the time worked until 5.30 on Saturdays. I would pick her up and tearar*e up the M6 and A50 [before the new road] No matter what the hold up/weather etc, it ALWAYS took me 90 minutes. Usually missed the rolling lap. [Funnily enough always took me the same time to Cov as well even tho' it was further]

and the night 495 John Cayzer spat his dummy ...... (I think when he was told he hadn't qualified for the Final)......and drive straight head on into the fence post on turn 1, and we had to wait for half an hour whilst they replaced it.....!!!

Good Ol' L.E.

My dad told me that johns dad was very ill and took a turn for the worse, and they wouldnt let him off track,so he broke a post.

Personal memories, seeing Martin Bruin climb out of his car and forget which way to run and get launched by a fast moving F1 [Mo Smith?]

I was just thinking of the same incident and going to add it......I was stood on turn 3 at the time, just where it happened.....couldn't believe it, and had the same fearful thoughts...but thankfully he just got up and walked away.

I was also on turn 3,rite in front of this(horrible)incident, glad he made a full recovery, but he didnt get up he was carried off.lucky chap.i also remember that mo was treated for shock.
