| Well done to Stuart on a faultless attack on the National series, and claiming his first silver roof. And great sportsmanship from 515, gracious in defeat, lending 390 the silver wing for the GN. Andy did all he could, but had a fantastic year anyway A superb format, certainly livened things up over the 10 rounds, and still wasnt settled until the last but one race. _________________ Ive Just finished a 10 piece jigsaw in 2 weeks!!! Thats the cool thing about lego! lol
Well Done to Stu! The best man has won the National Series..unlucky Frankie but you cant have it EVERY year! lol
I hope some people will think this Shootout is a good way of doing it..It still takes a lot of dedication, skill and a little luck..but not everyone can turn up like FWJ 50 times a year! So I think its a fairer way of deciding it! |

| I haven't done many meetings this year because a flippin' surgeon was determined to keep reorganising my hips, but in all those I went to, Stuart Smith looked total class. Even when the spotlight was on Andy and Frank, Stuart was steadily winning races unnoticed. You'd be looking at a battle somewhere then with 4 to go Stuart would appear on the scene and you just knew he would be on it with one to go. He goes through the field with stealth and skill like a silent assassin and when there is a need for the bumper, he uses it effectively. It's good to watch. He's my driver of the year without a doubt. I hope this doesn't invite any "oh, you've seen the light then" or "are you joining us then" comments because I am a stockcar fan and not a stockcar driver fan. It's been a good season I've been told but I missed more than half of it. I can only look forward to 2010 and hopefully the Team 69 car will be back on our tracks as well after a pretty bad year. |
