Buxton hosts a great weekend of Stock car racing this weekend Saturday 5th and 6th July.

This weekend Buxton Raceway hosts meetings over 5th and 6th July, this is always a busy one and we hope we have some good weather with us for those who like to camp out and make it a weekend of racing, and not to forget the socialising in the bar until late!

Saturday 5th July features the BriSCA F2 World Championship Qualifier, we normally get a good number of cars for this event and the racing is always top notch from these 2L powered Stockcars.

The Bombers also feature and they will be running their Final over the Figure of 8, this is always one to watch, these drivers really are dare devils as they hold on to go over the cross over, do they close their eyes? - they will say no! but we think yes!

The Lady Bombers are also with us, as well as the very popular Hot Fords, also - at the last minute we are staging the Stock Rod ORCi Championship, Stock Rods are a rare visitor to Buxton Raceway and we hope to feature the formulas top drivers in this none contact championship event.

Both days feature the 1300 Stockcars, always superb racing from this class, there will be qualifying races on the Saturday ready for the British Championship for them on the Sunday, we have some of the Skegness racers making the trip over for some good stockcar action.

Moving on to Sunday 6th July its time for the Unlimited Bangers and the King Of the Peak 17, we have some superb cars booked in for this meeting and also some superb drivers too, we only host the Unlimiteds once per season which makes this event even more special as Unlimited Banger meetings can get diluted somewhat if run too often, last years winner was Glyn Platts and he is back to defend his title this year, did we mention the large prize fund?? 3000!!

Junior Bangers also feature at the request of a few drivers so we have squeezed them into the schedule.

The National Ministox feature on the Sunday too and these young and brave guys and girls always put on a good show with action all around the track, then finally theres the V8 Hotstox, a superb well run formula in its 30th year of running, the racing is always superb with these Rover V8 powered cars as they battle it out for the Buxton Gold Cup.

21 V8's turned up today at Buxton and they were brilliant! All 4 races action packed. Great racing and lots of bumper work. It's a shame F1's can't do the same!
