How come a different top name driver wins the shootout every year, unchallenged?.
Does it go to the highest bidder, or do they choose a driver amongst themselves to win it?.
Will it be Mick Sworders turn next year?, as he's not had it yet.
Newson the year after perhaps?.

Sorry but I thought this was the serious stox forum. Unbelievable question/ statement which is insulting to every driver who was in the shootout. Yes , sheffield was a bit of a damp squid but to say the drivers tske turns to win it is ridiculous.

Think Sausage has a point actually. Out of the shootout rounds I only went to Brafield and was surprised how nobody even came close to giving Speaky a bit of bumper action, there was plenty of opportunity for 84 & 16. Very much reminds me of too much respect Moodie gets in F2's(except from Rob of course).

Never meant just this year guys, last year was even more blatent!. Suspect .. To a chorus of boos..
And the year before that Craig Finnikin just tootled round, while Dan Johnson took out the people's champion 515 at the last hurdle. To a chorus of boos.
It's like pantomime this...

Regarding the too much respect thing Johnny, i reckon that's happend due too it becoming a travelling circus, same faces every week, trusted 'hard men/old school' like for instance Mal Brown don't get involved in nowt anymore. I reckon you need to go to Venray if you wanna see a proper tussle between drivers not over familiar with each other, our superstars go there and have to prove themselves, whereas back at home the same 7 or 8 drivers rule on our half dozen tracks.
Belatedly coming round to the assault by Ryan Harrison, if it wasnt his insistence on violence towards lower grades and not the superstars, oh, and the accusations of iffy parts.

Whilst I don't think its predetermined who's gonna win the silver I don't quite understand how some drivers race.

At Sheffield 84 and 16, 2nd and third in the points had ample opportunity to put Rob away snd didn't .
Had to laugh when 55 gave him a tap and next bend, 318 showed him what to do.

I suspect Rob was terribly disappointed with the actual meeting cos he just cantered off with the silver.
Rob loves a scrap and a proper stock car race it just seems there's not too many people out there willing to dint his back bumper.
10 years ago 515 and 391 would have stuck him on a fence post and next race he'd have come out and put both of them on the same post.

Those rivalries are missing these days in Brisca F1's.

BORING!!!

so and so could have done so and so. seen this so many times before.
instead of sitting there driving a computer, buy a car and do it yourselves.
how hard can it be to drive around in circles?
to hit the man in front all you`ve got to do is go in harder.
its all b*ll*x.
i spent a fair amount of money on buying a car and getting it ready to race, countless hours in the workshop.
i proved i couldnt do it, perhaps some of you should follow my lead.
gave me more respect for those that do it week in week out.

Boring ???? The most boring thing is the repetetive comment - "why dont you buy a car and have a go yourself" No offence guys, but get real.

Lighten up, take it in the manner it was meant - tongue in cheek, F1 is taken far too serious at times.

How about Sausage and Tim hire a car out for a meeting or test session, and let Cain start behind so he can use his experience to show you what a hit is all about !!?

Carlton... "That  _____'n Carlton!,  give it Carlton!!"
Graham taylor to Phil 'yeth boss' Neal ...
Televised Documentry following England football team.
Anyhow.
I've done the 2x seater at Birmingham a few gala meetings ago.
Dunno if they were lapping a lot slower than Tom Harris? But I found it not mega fast, not on throttle long enough... Bet Barrlo was though!!. Scary thought...
Did not enjoy getting hit from behind, even though they were only to usher us out the way. (Love taps).
But as for us doing the bumper work.... Oh yes!!.
Found myself thinking "bury him!"  When the other car slowed to take the turn.
Poor lad who went after me, only a youngster, ended up riding up the armco with Neil fitton. That hard they got .2 wheels stuck, over the top and couldn't free themselves, would have brought out yellow flags in a race that one..
