PostSubject: Belle Vue 2015   Fri Feb 27, 2015 2:46 pm

Been meaning to ask this for a while but only just got round to it.

As a Northerner at heart, I was wondering why there are no F1 fixtures at Belle Vue after August 31st?  They don't even get a Shoot-Out Round.  I noticed the date in October which is usually the BV Shoot-Out is now at Buxton.

Anybody know why?  It was only a couple of years ago there would be about 3 meetings in quick succession at the the Vue in Oct/Nov including the final Shoot-Out Round.  My initial thought was that they were starting work to replace the wire & post fence but there are still F2 meeting scheduled in that period.

Maybe its to make shootout fairer. For couple years now some have complained that it was biased to shale. This yr it will be 5 on each surface.

There is always Boxing Day at Belle Vue this year.

I would imagine there will have to be a fair bit of communication between Startrax/GRA and the new national speedway stadium being constructed next door.....number of noisy dates/traffic management ect. Things are on the move now http://www.bellevueaces.co/newsitem.aspx?id=1316

Personally dont think new stadium will have any affect on noise dates etc. Our bv stadium will have thier dates within thier licence at council and the speedway will have thier own under thier own licence.

Belle Vue is running at Christmas this year - we only have x number of F1 dates and have opted to use one at Coventry on Friday in June to make hopefully an attractive weekender
