I went to Belle Vue yesterday and I thought it was a very good meeting, good racing and well run. Top marks to all involved.

But can someone please tell me why paying spectators on turns 3 and 4 are standing on terraces liberally scattered with dog excrement. Surely in this day and age this is unacceptable in a public arena. After all if was done on the street you can get fined for it!

Im sure this question has been asked before, a few years ago. Answer was something along the lines of it was a walking area for the greyhounds before the dog racing and it was/is the responsibility of the gra or dog owners to clean it up ? Obviously not nice for spectators, but sadly something out of Startrax control.

Didn't see it myself, but it has been reported before. It's obviously the Greyhounds.
Steve said he would keep an eye on it.
Surely not out of Startrax control Carlton, stadium should be fit for public use before they let anyone in.

I have been to tracks all over the country and I can honestly say I have only ever seen this at Belle Vue. Who is to blame is not the point. There were small toddlers playing, people sat eating and all on top of dogs mess. It's a bloody disgrace.

Not only that but it's a bad advert for our sport. You can imagine it can't you,

"How about taking the kids to watch the stock cars this afternoon darling"

"Are you kidding me dear, last time we went they got covered in dogs sh--!,"

Maybe a quick email to Steve at startrax would help. Contact details are on the website.

That's the thing, Steve is aware of the problem, but action is not being followed up.
Am sure its only last year it happened before.
Maybe pay a handful of the track crew/Stewards/f2 gang lol, 500 to clear it up and bill the GRA.
That should sort it.

We had solved this issue with the GRA - they do walk the greyhounds around the pathways - and they cleaned up - however, after being made ware Monday, we reminded the GRA yesterday and our staff have jet washed the entire area yesterday [ we couldn't do it during the event!] and will monitor it, think it's one of those that needs an odd reminder and monitor, apologies, now dealt with.
