Good to see an old style battle for the "national points"; unlike the F1's  national shootout series double points silver roof championship thing.
Ps. I take it Mr Moody has not signed up to mission impossible then?

No Mr Moodie has done enough to get a semi place. He was at Hednesford last weekend, got a load of damage Saturday and on Sunday apparently a blown engine.

Heat and final Saturday evening at Cowdie in all format meeting, didnt race at Crimond yesterday.

George and Chris where at Belle Vue again last night, in what has been reported as an excellent session, both winning heats in the 2/3 and final format. Chris scored 25 points, George 24 so (unofficial) lead is now 191 in Georges favour.

George also became the second driver this season to race at every mainland track after Liam Bentham .

Well done all.

As Carlton is going to be without internet access for a while I will try and keep this up to date incase anyone is interested.

After a weekend at Cowdie and Buxton, Burgoyne has eaten into the lead and it is now down to 101 points with Macmillan on 1754 and Burgoyne on 1653.

14 meetings to go.

Poor weekend for burgoyne with a dnf in heat 2 and a dns in the final at cowdie and then missing barford due to a rumoured case of man flu.
Macmillan had a good night at skeg with a final win, but not a great day at buxton which was compounded by the loss of the gn.
Scores for the weekend were 52 for macmillan and 18 for burgoyne which has seen the gap stretch to 119 points.

From Brisca F2.com

Quote :
On Saturday (17th) 100 George MacMillan raced at Coventry while 647 Chris Burgoyne was at Cowdenbeath but on the Sunday (18th) both were at Northampton.

Chris outscored George at both meetings and the difference between their scores has reduced from 119 points last week to 92 points.  Their current points’ totals are:

100 George MacMillan - 1909 pts.
647 Chris Burgoyne - 1817 pts.

It is possible to race at 8 more points scoring meetings before the end of the season.

A double final winning weekend for Burgoyne at Cowdenbeath and Barford has seen the gap close to just 66 points.

Busy week this week with Belle Vue Tuesday and Skegness Thursday due to the school holidays !!

A low scoring night at Belle Vue for both drivers with neither completing the final, although I guess this favours Macmillan to some extent. Burgoyne also failed to make it out for the GN so the lead has increased slightly with Macmillan now 68 points in front.

With a final win and consistent point scoring from Burgoyne at Skegness last night, and a non-appearance from Macmillan the gap has now dropped to 33 points.

The big question now appears to be whether the silver roof will be decided on or off the track !!
