Come on Steve try and sell this one to my kids....I did (but have so far failed). I told them there's going to be some fireworks but all I got was "meh, can we have the money instead?".
Fingers crossed we will still make it but I have a bad feeling this may become a more common response from them unless there's a new initiative to keep them coming back in the future and becoming lifelong supporters (like myself and my dad).

The Show goes on! Greyhound Racing ran last night and indeed is on today - The track has survived well with very little residual water and with a much drier day today forecast and dry tomorrow we shall endeavour to prepare as good a track as possible. All the drains are running freely - Greyhounds are on from 11.am today and once they finish we shall be working on the track throughout.

Currently Belle Vue is basking under clear blue skies! The track has drained well - some rain is forecast early afternoon today after which it is forecast to be dry throughout.
We have the equipment and are confident of producing an acceptable race strip.

We don't anticipate in having to issue any further updates, gates open from 11.am and racing starts at 12.30.pm

To be fair Belle Vue was also a good day out.
Bit low on F1s, but plenty of action, other formulas were fine.
Track was wet early on but soon dried out, crowd was decent, fireworks excellent as usual.
Pity the dogs left their mess on turns 3/4 again though.

Glad you had a good day out trimal. I kept my promise to the kids and as no reply came pre meeting we carried on past....kids got some spending money and we all went to see the engines in action (all free including parking), well worth a visit if its in steam and you are in the area.
As for fireworks; I am now banned from them for a while after wiring up some theatrical pyrotechnics to our doorbell over Christmas...but thats another story lol!

Wow.......they missed out on a treat there! Maybe if Steve had got back in touch with us pre meeting and said there were free Yule mini rolls, for the kids, it would have swung it Wink
