Looking forward to this one. With the weather forcast it should throw up a few surprises. It will also be interesting to see how the new drainage works and how the track holds up.
Ps.Steve has the no limits on bookings been dropped this season?

Track is currently in good shape, speedway press and practice successfully took place yesterday. There has been some rain today which has now petered out and the tarck is going to be tyre packed and tyre packed all day tomorrow and more shale added as weather forecast is good. Saturday rain is forecast until mid afternoon, going belt and braces I have just order 27 tonnes of limestone to dust to add if required. As a precaution, we have taken the Micro F2's off who were due to be on from as, like StoxKarts they cannot cope with a wet track [ or heavily watered ], felt it appropriate to give advance notice - and gives us a bit of extra time.

A lot of work has been done in tidying the stadium and painting - we can do little more other than pray for sunshine, but is Easter LOL. The programme will start with National Ministox approx as with 54 F1's as of today we MAY have to have 3 heats not 2 - F1's will not be on until AFTER
We have announced on our F/B site some Trackside parking availability first come first served

Well my predication was uncannily accurate but I was impressed with how the drainage worked and the track stood up to it. In America these conditions would have led to a rain off/refund but the meeting went on.
This leaves a couple of questions.....
What is the point/conditions required at which a meeting is called off?
Has it ever occurred in the past and under what circumstances?

With us, Swindon some years ago when a huge thunderstorm ripped through and flood the track
