Well we have still to hear the promised announcement from JH and co.
But here is an interesting list of payments made to Midland sports stadiums directors back kn 1982.
Certainly at this time the company showed no signs of financial difficulties....

Incorporated as Coventry Stadium Ltd in 1936 and principally owned by the Saunderson family
Changed name to Midland Sports Stadiums in 1950 (which probably co-incides with acquisition of Leicester)
Ownership @ 30/6/82:
Saunderson family 47.3%
Ochiltree family 20.6%
W P Gilmour 12% (who was he?)
I think it highly likely the Saunderson's stillhad effective control in 1982
Directors remuneration was interesting:
1982 total: £82,000 (£226k in current prices)
Charles Ochiltree £28,000 (£77k in current prices)
B Saunderson £17,000 (£47k in current prices)
nb in 1974 Ochiltree received £14,181 (£108k in current prices) [In comparison at Leicester Reg Fearman and Ron Wilson each took £3,400 (or £26k each at current prices)]
MSS Ltd's 1972 Profit before tax (but after Directors remuneration of £22k) was £49k (or £490k in today's prices)
Also of minor interest is that Charles Ochiltree's son Martin was also a director https://www.companysearchesmadesimple.com/company/uk/00320157/midland-sports-stadiums-limited/#people
Now though Martin Ochiltree has moved on a fair bit and is owner of MSO properties, in Coventry (real estate development) https://www.companysearchesmadesimple.com/company/uk/00320157/midland-sports-stadiums-limited/#people
Now this is pure speculation on my part but I wonder if the Ochiltree's had a caveat in the sale of Coventry Stadium to Sandhu? Also councillor Stokes is said to have mentioned that Brandon Estates are not the owners but are only acting on the behalf of a single owner of the stadium.
It would be interesting to hear what the likes of Buildbase or Tengtools make of the proceedings.
