Hi everyone,
I know a lot of people have been waiting for a smith bus to be created and finally the day is here.

We have taken the chassis from the Fast Eddie Power Wagon and adapted it it the bus's size.

Cheers

Hi Everyone,
I have started with the windscreen to get the height and then i have put some side windows in.

you can see the shape of the roof here and a basic back door to see how it will work.

Taken the extra wheel out to get the wheel base length.
I think the bus is a bit too tall at the moment but we'll adjust it later.

Cheers

Hi everyone,

I have now started to shape the rear of the bus and the door. it took ages to get the back of the roof right.

Now I have put hinges in so the rear door will open. Do you like the lights and marker lights??

Hope you like it. happy for comments.

Cheers

Hi Everyone,

I have put some cars inside to see if the bus is tall enough to fit the cars in and also to see where the ramp positions will be.

The bus is actually too tall so we will be moving the roof down a bit.
Can anyone tell who's the car is??

Cheers

Hi everyone,
Nope sorry grafter it was 357 Jon Lewis.

I am very sorry it has taken me so long to reply i have been puzzled on the front end. I am still not completely happy with the front, the grills in particular but i might try to change this later.

I have staggered the front lights and made the bumper.

Next I will be putting the marker lights in the correct position.

Cheers

Hi everyone,
I have now put in some smooth tiles in the lockers and have filled out the lockers more thoroughly.

Next i will be making the doors and i know from doing this before that it is really hard.
Does anyone know if the lockers go through to the other side and locker to locker or are they all individual lockers?

Cheers

Hi Again,

I have been working hard to get the door in, in the back of the bus. I put one side in correctly and then put th otherside in backwards so i had to redo all of the side again. I have allso tried to do the front stripes as good as i can and i am now happy with them.
Closed door

Opened door

Do the stripes at the front look good??
Cheers

Hi Everyone,

I have now made a more detailed front end which although looks the same it is completely new! It includes the spotlights, a bigger grill, the corner cheeks under the bumper are different and also how it fits to the windscreen is different.
The new front is on the left and ready to be fitted.

New front end fitted now!

I am going to start work on the ramps in the back next.
Cheers

Hi Everyone,

I Have now placed the ramps in a good position and prepared the Bus for the wall separating the garage and the living area, also note i have made room for the aerofoil to be stored.

This next photo I have fitted the wall and also the wheel rack behind the bottom ramp.

This next photo shows how the ramps work and the cars unload.

Next i will place the Smith cars in the garage.

Cheers

Hi Everyone,

Thanks you for the lovely comments.
I have placed the smith cars into the bus. I have also done alot of work on the chassis and the supporting the axles, unfortunatley you cant see the difference Sad

I will try and do an overall shot of the outside of the bus with lockers and doors all open.

Cheers

Hi All,

Wow it has been a while since i last posted, been so busy working on my Mini.

I Have finally finished the interior, it took about 3 weeks to get about right, and to fit.
I made the interior about right first outside the bus and tried to fit it in. I got it in but had to do alot of downsizing. Here is a few pics of it all done as close as i could get.

Just one of the cupboards close up

Here is a few with Stuarts new car next to the bus

Sorry if the images are fuzzy, i have no idea why.

Please come have a chat with me at the track. Mini 147 or F1 141
