oh and by the way i asked about the rumour of a road going thru the pits and was told they knew nothing about it and what use would it be as it wouldn't serve any use, which was my original thought

The "bbc journos" were family members :-) I wasn't there so I don't know what was going on exactly but my Uncle does do a lot of media work, will try and find out.

Last week i was asked who and how many turn up on a wednesday i replied that some times there are no cars and occasionally its in double figures and i have seen just about every formula there from ninja karts to European Late Model Series car but have never seen any sprint cars well that changed today as there were 2 of them 191 Ashley Boam and ex F1 361 Steve Stretton in car 55 that he will share with son Stu.

Also there was 195 Dean Whitwell again sorting the car out for Hednesford, someone asked last time if it was a different/new car its not its the same car that 'overheated' at Ipswich.

There was also 4 minis H107 which stayed on truck while i was there,60 Matthew Venables,124 Kyle Gray and 246 Jenson Brickley celebrating his 10th birthday.H107 is for the son of H107 Lee Robinson main sponsor

After a couple of wet weeks i made it back to Pr1mo expecting to see ex F2 now F1 538 Chevy Mills in his ex 150 car but he was a no show but there were 2 other F1s a superstox and a NHR.
The 2 F1s were Ryan 'the boss' Harrison running in his newly refubished tar engine but was still having a few problems when i left, the other car was 4 Dan Johnson. The superstox was 67 Chris Roots and the the NHR was 217 Brett Walter.
BTW it was the first time i had set eyes on F1 MHR the new Team Harrison transporter and was very impressed its a nice bit of kit

4 Dan Johnson

Well today in glorious sunshine 538 Chevy Mills finally made it to the track unfortunately it cost at least £500 per lap as the engine seems to be scrap, difficult to tell exactly until stripped down, judging by everyones opinion.
Also there were 300 Paul Carter & 306 Ian Noden in his new tar car F2 222 Ayrton Mills & F2 834 Rob Crowther and Matt Roach with 2 of his Legend cars ,nice chatting to you Matt, and also a newly refurbished sprint car 58 Trevor Keir who i'm told is a development engineer for Red Bull hence the sponsorship. There were also 3 2Ltr rods.

Back here after a blank week last wednesday due to a private do, and i saw 3 F1s 120,166,326, the two times world F2 winning car of 732,3 rebels a legend and 2 2ltr rods also another rod [lightning ?] 10 cars = £400 will keep Dean Wood happy.
Also there today was 'hitman' harris helping both 120 & 326 and josh 191,when the 3 F1s were on track together visually the fastest was 120 but it was tom behind the wheel  Shocked ,talking to daz kitson about the 166 car he said that the rolling chassis was all new but he used the engine and box out of his old F1 which has now been scrapped

Colin, 445 Nigel Green was there Wednesday I've been told in the ex 2008 World Final winning tarcar of Andy Smith. Andy sold it to 295 Wes Goodwin who then sold it to 217 Lee Fairhurst who then sold it to Nigel...  Very Happy

I spoke with Nigel at Brum earlier in the year and he said he hoped to be out late July?, he has totally re worked the car! He said that when he is finished with it, it will look more like his ex F2 car scratch ...

Did you get a picture of it? the car wasn't painted! front end still in Fairhurst colours I'm told but back end all new and unpainted?

After 3 weeks of not being able to get there i turned up thinking that there might be a few cars testing ready for the Venray weekend and there were in fact 3 F1s of which 2 were testing and 1 was running in his rebuilt harrison racing engine also there was 2 rods a nhr and a 2ltr and a member of a well known local racing family testing his new,to him,F2.
The F1s were 4 Dan Johnson,152 Neil Scothern in the 105 Chris Bonner car & 307 Tim Warwick being supported by 507 Neal Smith the F2 was Ashley Pursey.

A bit late in the season but i was told by DK that he would be there helping to set up a couple of 2Ltr rods so i went to see and was suprised to find as well as the 2 rods and a legend a spedeworth V8 and 2 bangers. The V8 was already loaded as it was a trial run for wimbo on sunday in his new car that he just bought that was 2 meetings old but to quote it wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.
